Restorative Practices

Restorative practices are central to how we build and maintain positive relationships at St Matthews Catholic School. Rather than focusing solely on punishment, restorative approaches encourage students to reflect on their actions, take responsibility, and repair any harm done. This process helps strengthen empathy, accountability, and a sense of belonging.

Grounded in our Catholic values of compassion and respect, restorative practices support our students to grow not just academically, but as thoughtful and responsible members of our community. While there is a focus on repairing relationships, appropriate consequences are still part of the process when needed.
