Mudgee Town Hall Cinema screenings are usually held on the first weekend of the month. The next screenings will be held on 5, 6 and 7 September 2025.
Mudgee Town Hall Cinema is a community sub-run theatre. This means that we are unable to screen movies until those films have departed first-run mainstream theatres (approximately two months after mainstream release).
The beauty of this, however, is that we are able to offer more affordable ticketing prices, as well as affordable candy bar options which contribute to Rotary Clubs of Mudgee continued fund-raising efforts.
Tickets are available to purchase online until 3pm on Friday 5 September 2025
Book Tickets
Alternately, cash sales are available at Council Customer Service Centre until Wednesday, 3 September (unless sold out prior). Any remaining tickets will be available to purchase from Rotary volunteers at the door 30 minutes before any scheduled screening (cash and Eftpos options available).
The candy bar will be open for cash and card sales.

The festival is the initiative of the Glen Alice and Glen Davis Community Associations together with Birdlife Southern NSW which has worked with the community in the valley for more than 30 years to plant habitat to save the Regent Honeyeater and other woodland birds.
The details of the festival and how to get tickets can be found at www.caperteevalleybirdfestival.com.au.
In the program you will find many interesting sessions. More than 20 are free, some have a fee, all reflect the festivalʻs focus on birds, nature, and conservation:
- a bird-themed Welcome to Country
- a screening of "Happy Feet", everyoneʻs favourite animated penguin movie
- Birdlife Australia kids activities looking at ʻFeathers & Flightʻ and introducing them to birdwatching on ʻThe Magpie Walkʻ
- join indigenous author Jess Leffley as she reads her book ʻI is for Ibis'
- try a creative workshop and create your ʻSpark Birdʻ, learn about eco-dyeing, or indigenous weaving

- visit the photography exhibition featuring local Sue Harveyʻs amazing array of Capertee Valley bird photos
Mid-Western Emergency Services Expo
A free community and family event!
Further event details:
The Mid-Western Emergency Services Expo is your chance to connect with the local heroes who work together behind the scenes to keep our community safe. Held in conjunction with the NSW RFS Get Ready Weekend, this free, family-friendly event is all about building community resilience, raising awareness, and strengthening preparedness for all kinds of emergencies – from bushfires and floods to storms, accidents and more.

With live demonstrations, interactive displays, and access inside the NSW RFS Fire Control Centre, this is a rare opportunity to gain a behind-the-scenes look at emergency operations and discover the incredible coordination that goes into protecting our region.
Learn practical tips on how to prepare your home and family, explore support services, and meet the dedicated people behind the uniforms. It’s also a great opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering or joining an emergency agency to find out more about the roles available.
By working together and learning from one another, we can build a stronger, safer and more resilient Mid-Western community.

· Explore emergency vehicles
· BBQ - Mudgee Men’s Shed
