“Follow me.” (Matthew 9:9)
When Jesus called Matthew from his tax booth, He saw not what Matthew was, but what he could become. In the same way, we are called to see beyond a child’s present struggles to their God-given potential. Every encouragement and challenge is part of saying to our children/ students: “Come, grow, discover, and follow your path.”
Over the weekend, the Catholic Church will celebrate the Feast Day of St Matthew.
On the last day of term we celebrate this day as a K-12 School. All families are invited to attend Mass from 12 noon in the Primary Gym, followed by a frolic (mini fete) to raise funds for Catholic Missions in the Primary grounds.
The call by Jesus and Matthew’s response is what drives us to resemble Jesus’ love, faith, and hope, who forgave, served others, healed, and showed compassion.
