Why Phones Aren’t Used at School
At our school, we believe learning happens best when students are fully engaged with their teachers and peers.
Mobile phones can be a major distraction, reducing focus and limiting valuable face-to-face interaction. Without phones, students are encouraged to participate more actively in class, build stronger friendships, and develop healthier study habits.
Removing phones also helps create a safer environment, free from issues such as cyberbullying and social media pressures. By keeping phones away during school hours, we protect learning time and give every student the chance to succeed academically and socially.
Phones may be used briefly during breaks, but only in the designated Phone Zone outside the office. This ensures safe, respectful use while maintaining focus on learning throughout the day.
If a student uses their phone outside the rules, it will be confiscated. The first time, students may collect it at the end of the day. A second offence requires parents to collect it.
