Year 11 | Dare to Be Aware Road Safety Excursion
On Monday 29 July, Year 11 students travelled to Dubbo to participate in the Dare to Be Aware Road Safety Education Program. This valuable day provided students with a deeper understanding of the importance of making safe choices on the road.
Throughout the program, students experienced a variety of activities including:
- Live road crash scenarios with emergency services response demonstrations
- Ambulance and safety displays showcasing lifesaving equipment and procedures
- Presentations from road crash survivors sharing their personal stories and insights
- Interactive stalls offering information from road safety organisations
- Workshops led by local services dedicated to keeping all road users safe
The day encouraged our students to reflect on the real-life consequences of risky driving behaviours and reinforced the importance of responsible decision-making as both drivers and passengers.
