Bathurst Diocese Rugby Union Competition

St Matthews Rugby Union Team claimed a commanding 55–7 victory in the grand final of the Bathurst Diocese Tournament, capping off an unbeaten and dominant campaign on the day. From the outset, the team displayed power, precision, and excellent teamwork, dominating both in the forwards and the backline.

The team will now progress and compete in the Chris Gangemi Rugby Tournament in Sydney in August.

Northern Region Athletics Carnival

What a great day our students had at the Northern Region Athletics Carnival in Dubbo! They battled through what was possibly the coldest day of winter, with constant rain that eventually brought the high jump events to an early end.

Despite the challenging conditions, our students gave it their all and represented our school with outstanding sportsmanship and respect. They supported and cheered each other on throughout the day, showing wonderful team spirit.

We’re proud to report that 48 of our students have qualified for the next level and will be heading to the Diocesan Carnival on Friday 22nd August.
