Literacy In Action - Improving student writing through explicit teaching
As Term 3 commences our Literacy focus continues to prioritise working with students to become more confident and capable writers.
In the early weeks of the term teachers are analysing student data and developing annotated model writing samples for use in teaching and learning activities.
Teachers will use the modelled writing samples to explicitly teach writing skills throughout the term and will provide opportunities for students to practice and further develop their own writing across all teaching and learning areas.
Towards the end of term teachers will review and reflect on the progress made and our next steps.
