Rugby 7's State Championship
Last week our primary rugby 7's team headed to Sydney to compete at the State Championships. After convincingly topping our pool stage, winning our three games by a combined 134-17, we came up against a tough Northern Beaches CS in the semi-final, going down by 12 points.
The boys started this journey last term at our local gala day. Throughout all games, they played quality rugby and enjoyed the time with their mates.
Thanks to all parents who made the journey down and to Pete for giving his time to help with the coaching.
3rd in the state is not a bad effort. They should be so proud of their efforts.
Polding Girls Rugby 7's Representative
A highlight of the day was Lauren meeting Emma Tonegato OAM, a dual Olympian who came through the Catholic Schools sport pathway, representing Mackillop in both netball and touch football.
The Polding team achieved a remarkable 3rd place overall—a fantastic result. Well done, Lauren!
