Elective Art
As part of our unit on Art and Activism, Elective Visual Arts students had the amazing opportunity to participate in a tour of the latest exhibition 'Guwayu: for all time' at the Mudgee Arts Precinct. Students participated in a highly engaging and moving tour with art educator Michael Bourke where they were introduced to the ideas associated with many of the works on display. Incredibly, students also had the privilege of hearing directly from First Nations activist and artist Blak Douglas about many of his ideas and artmaking practice.
What an outstanding opportunity for our students to hear from one of our foremost artists in our own backyard.
