Last week, the Year 12 Drama students visited Sydney for their final overnight excursion where they readily immersed themselves in the cultural opportunities offered. Students participated in a workshop at NIDA designed to strengthen their collaborative and performance skills for their Group Devised Performance which begins in Term 2.

 

Later that evening, we saw Onstage which showcased the best of the 2023 Group Performances and Individual Projects. Finally, students attended the Belvoir Street Theatre rehearsal rooms for a Black Comedy workshop, which is their current topic of study and is one of the two essays they complete in their HSC written examination. The students' engagement in and commitment to their craft was noted by the two practitioners who ran the workshops.

 

Congratulations Year 12 Drama on a fantastic and enjoyable excursion. There will be a showcase evening later in the year where students will perform their Group and Individual Performances.
