Reconciliation
Currently our Year 3 students are participating in their FHC Program. Further to this Sacrament this week they celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
In our daily lives Reconciliation can be a time for us to reflect on our actions, seek forgiveness, and renew our relationship with God and one another. It can include but is not limited to increasing awareness around Healing and Unity, Spiritual Growth, Modelling Forgiveness, Strengthening Relationships and Renewal and Peace.
In essence, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is a powerful way for a family to grow closer to God and to each other, fostering a home environment filled with love, understanding, and mutual support.
Social Justice Sunday -25th August
Catholic Social Justice teaches us that all people are children of God so every person belongs to the human family. As sisters and brothers, our needs are met in relationship with one another.
The 2024 Social Justice Statement Truth and Peace: A Gospel Word in a Violent World will be publicly released on August 20, ahead of Social Justice Sunday on August 25.
In the 2024 – 2025 Social Justice Statement, “Truth and Peace: A Gospel Word in a Violent World”, Australia’s Bishops scrutinise the signs of our own troubled times, observe the violence around us, and ask why it is so. They also ask what is needed if there is to be peace.
Year 6 Formation Day
On Tuesday, Year 6 ventured to Dubbo for a formation day organised by our CEDB and performed by Emmanuel Worship. Their music is written and performed by people with a passion for Jesus and a passion for music.

Religious Education
Year 2 has been doing some terrific learning about saints and their place in the Church. The catch phrase from their learning so far is “Saints are the stars of the Church!” During their primary school years the students learn about saints in great detail in Year 2, Year 3 and Year 6, so the Year 2 students are beginning a great journey of learning about these stars of the Church and examples of our faith in action.
Here are some work samples from some wonderful students in 2M, showcasing the end of some guided research into different saints. It’s lovely to see these inquiry skills being taught and demonstrated during our Religion lessons.
Thanks for sharing 2M, keep up the fabulous work!
